Social Justice-Handing down sentencing

Handing down sentencing

The first component of social justice is action. This activity calls for analyzing a social justice problem and taking appropriate action to try to address it.

Review Case:

Considering all these ideas - which punishment is least likely to be considered as supporting Social Justice? Why?Which is most likely to support Social Justice? Why?

What makes up a just society?
Do you ever act in ways that promote social justice?
What you consider unjust or unfair.
How do you know injustice when you see it?
Think about what it would take to eliminate the injustice presented in this case.
ROMANS 10:3 - For they, not knowing the justice of God, and seeking to establish their own, have not submitted themselves to the justice of God.

JOHN 20:23 - If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven; if you retain anyone’s sins, they are retained.”
The message we would like you to remember is to “Be very careful seeking justice through unjust actions as doing is unsupportive Social Justice”.
